SHAHADAH(TESTIMONY)

The profession of faith, "There is no god but God; Muhammad is the messinger of God." That statement expressed the essence of Islam. There is absolute unity and uniquesness in God and the Prophet Muhammad brought the message of God to mankind. In its melodious Arabic form, "La ilaha illa Allah; Muhammad rasul Allah," it is repeated every day by all devout Muslims throughout the world and is heard in the chant of the muezzin calling the faithful to prayer. It is also seen in inscriptions on buildings, coins and flags of some Muslim countries.
