Al-Quran: THE BOOK OF ISLAM

Al-Qura'n is an Arabic word, literally meaning 'reading' and 'recitation'.

Al-Quran is the word of Allah, the one and only GOD. Quran is The Book of Islam and is the final divine guidance in the line of Holy Scriptures.

The Quran is commonly also called Al-Furqa'n ('the discrimination' between right and wrong) and also has many other names attributed to its qualities In formal speech it is called Al-Quran al-Kareem ('The Noble Quran'), Al-Quran al-Majeed ('The Glorious Quran') or Al-Quran al-Hakeem (The Wise Quran).

Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam) in a period of 23 years starting 10 Before-Hijrah (610 AD).

The Quran is a guide and beacon for humanity till the end of time. It is not bound by time, not bound by race or nationality. The Quran is for all humanity, for the past, the present, and for all times to come.







The Qur'an is the very word of God, Almighty. A
complete record of the exact words revealed by God
through the Angel Gabriel to the Prophet Muhammad.

The Qur'an was memorized
by Muhammad and his
followers, dictated to his companions, and written
down by scribes, who cross-checked it during the
Prophet's lifetime. Not one word of its 114 surahs
(parts or chapters) has been changed over the
centuries. The Qur'an is in every detail the same
unique and miraculous text that was revealed to
Muhammad fourteen centuries ago.

The Qur'an is the principal source of
every Muslim's
faith and practice. It deals with all subjects that
concern us as human beings, including wisdom,
doctrine, worship and law; but its basic theme is the
relationship between God and His creatures. At the
same time, the Qur'an provides guidelines for a just
society, proper human conduct and equitable economic
principles.



The Holy Qur'an is the last revealed word of Allah and the basic source of Islamic teachings and laws.The Qur'an deals with the bases of creeds,morality,history of humanity,worship,knowledge,wisdom.Allah-man relationship,and human relationship in all aspects.Comprehensive teachings on which can be built sound systems of social justice,economics,politics,legislation,jurisprudence,law and international relations,are important contents of the Glorious Qur'an.

The Al-Quraan is a book of wisdom and a guide for the people who are obedient to Allah, Almighty.The Al-kitaab is the last revealtion of God and it is complete book till the dooms day.Hence this is the final and binding words of Allah(SWT) upon the muslims.The Al-quraa Al-Karim was revealed in the Arabic language and every muslim recites the holy book in the language of Quraan.Of course the Islam is not limited to the Arabic world only.The larger number of muslims come from other regions and their mother tongues are different.Hence,they are unable to seek guidance from the BOOK OF WISDOM,WHICH IS A SOURCE OF GUIDANCE for the servants of Allah.Most of the people recites the aL-Kitaab in Arabic without knowing the meaning of the holy verses.It does not serve the purpose.The book is meant for seeking guidance from it not for mere recitation.Mere recitation is not sufficient.The learning of Arabic language should be a duty of every muslim.However,non-arabic people can read the meaning in their language,but it also does not serve the purpose.There is a great difference in original and translated texts.Hence,we should try to learn Arabic seriously.Only then,we may be able to understand the words of Allal, Almighty.
